Advent of Code 2026 starts on December 1, 2026. The official site says the first puzzles unlock at midnight EST (UTC-5), which is 05:00 UTC, 10:30 IST and 9:00 PM Pacific on November 30.
Advent of Code is a free Advent calendar of small programming puzzles by Eric Wastl. Each day unlocks a two-part puzzle that you can solve in any programming language. People use it for interview prep, company training, coursework and friendly races on private leaderboards.
The 2026 calendar has not said how many days it runs. The 2025 event changed the format to 12 days of puzzles instead of the earlier 25, so we list December 1 to December 12 as the expected window until the 2026 calendar confirms it. New puzzles unlock at the same midnight EST time each day, and you can keep solving after the event ends.
